For the second year running Pause has been nominated for ‘Best Label’ in the True Chip Till Death awards. Five nominees were selected by the chip community at large — the list of which can be seen at TCTD’s site.
Additionally, two releases from this year’s Pause catalog have been nominated for Best Release: Alex Mauer’s Vegavox 2 and C-jeff’s Electric.
Winners of each category will be announced on January 30th in NYC during the TCTD 2009 Awards Gala. Live performances by Animal Style and several others will accompany the ceremony.

Yeah it’s crazy. Within 24hrs the 8static kickstarter was fully funded! The event is even featured on the front page of Kickstarter.com. We’re going to buy a sick projector, a subwoofer, and some new monitors. BUT! If we get even more money, there is no telling what we can do… bring in international artists (maybe some ppl from II!!), crazy professional promotion, a one time 100% free event (yes we were thinking about throwing a free event if we get a ton of loot)… think billions and billions of wonderful 8staticZ [carl sagan plug]. So far we’ve had a great response, but we don’t want ppl to think the fund raising is over. It’s just begun! So, please help support live chip music and donate to Philadelphia’s premiere monthly chip event! thanks~!
